Recaros in Vancouver WA

Wasn't sure where to post this but here we go..

This listing on Portland CL says its been up for 22 days but  they must have recently edited in the word BMW so it popped up on my radar today.

 

Not terrible looking Recaros for $1300, look kind of like 320is but different? JDM perhaps?  Forgive me, not a period seat master.

If still available, maybe worth a look.

Look like recovered LX-C's with the halo head rests.

 

I've had several used Recaros, most of them have been bent / twisted.  They're a pain in the can to unbend.

 

Get a picture of the underside of the bottom of the chair, where the straps go across.  If they're tight, maybe they were replaced when they were recovered, which might mean they did a better job...

 

(Also not a Recaro specialist, just not afraid to buy stuff to take it apart to see how it works...)

Also not an expert.

May be from a VW? Seat bar release anterior mid bottom may from a later VW which probably wouldn't work for our 2002's. 

Need to see if the bottom has the the six bolt pattern vs bar in the middle (which won't work without some significant fabrication).

Those look like recovered fox-body Mustang GT seats.

Actually I have no interest in them personally, I'm going with something far cooler and suitable for my tan interior.

Just thought someone might have an interest😉
