I've got what I think is a super perfect late 1600 project for you.

It's unlisted, not rusty, fresh 2L engine and suspension. Owner just doesn't drive it AT ALL and asked if I wanted to help him sell it. Car is located in Alhambra, Ca, close to LA.

Ryan da PIMP! :-)

I need a hood BTW

I’ve got a 1973. 4 speed trans, with a 1976 m10 with tii exhaust manifold. Not installed. Needs rust repair. Can send link to my google photos album so you can see more of it. Not sure what I want for it because of the condition. Willing to ship as well. No rear seat, lower body trim, door cards, and grills. Have a nice chamoinix hood and the rest of the belt trim to go with it. PM for more pics/info

Where are you on the east coast?  I've got a running and driving 2002tii, 72 mostly original paint, Sahara, paint is rear thing so one can see surface rust.  Dogleg 5 speed Getrag, numbers matching engine, no sunroof and springs under you butt driver seat.  Syncros worn and output shaft bearing noisy.  Bilsteins, Ireland engineering sways, original springs, New set of Pirelli CN36, MSW wheels.  In my opinion a diamond in the rough living life in Paradise, Virginia Beach.

So let's try this one again, the paint is real thin, showing surface rust.  Not sure how to upload a picture.  I bought my first 02 in 1970, a 69 MY.  I've pretty much owned one from that time.  Two cars one should not be without, a 2002 and a 356.  I'm just getting too old to keep them all running the way they should.  That said, I'm driving the tii home from the shop this evening, taking the long way.

Cheers,

Rusty

My wife has decided to part with her '72 roundie, non-sunroof car.  It needs work but we drove it from Seattle to Florida in 2013.  She runs and drives, a total blast, but numerous other projects.  If interested,  txt me @ 321-four-three-one- 53-zero-6.  I'll send you some pics.  The car is in my garage in Jax, FL

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
