@Conserv - although I haven’t seen them side by side, I would also consider Taiga as the metallic version of Mint Grun.  My 1976 has been resprayed, but seems to be a pretty close match with the original


@fletcher - agree with what has been recommended previously - send an email to the archives and they will confirm the original color

Indeed.  Already am.  Any suggestions?  I've looked at IE's stuff (fiberglass) and sent an inquiry in for this to see if they're available https://www.americaninternationalracing.com/product/front-hood-4/

I'd check here in the parts for sale section, maybe even post a want-ad, first.  Failing that, I'm a pretty loyal IE customer and those prices look pretty good, but do note they don't have hinge mounting points, so wouldn't be as 'nice' to deal with as the real metal parts.

For example, this one says rusty body panels, but that trunk lid still looks quite serviceable. . .

yeah, +1 on that

You could probably locate used hoods up there for probably cheaper and an original metal hood would be much more durable than fiberglass. They pop up on CL from time to time.

the nice thing is that it looks like the paint is still there, not rusted or chipped away......just under a lot of oxidation and fading.  I think if you clean it, clay-bar it, then do a light 1,000-grit wet sandpaper....it should restore pretty well.
