Discussed, at length, at:

 

The B.A.T. listing notes that the steering column VIN tag matches the inner fender VIN tag — not particularly noteworthy — but fails to mention whether the engine number is also matching.

 

The spare tire’s rim is a 4 1/2” rim (also, at June 1973, post-dating the car’s manufacture), so clearly not a tii rim.

Funny how individuals value the tiis. This one pushed the price tag of the agave that sold on BAT last week and to me it wasn't even close to as good of a car. But again that's an individual thing I guess.....and they aren't making more of them so there's that

It’s been on the market for the better part of year. It began with a $50K ask, but has had a $40K ask for months. I’d bet you could have bought it for $35K before the BAT listing. Where was the winning bidder the last few months? Or is it just so much easier to spend $38K in an auction setting? (Rhetorical question: answer not necessary! ?)
