Cold start relay on my '73 2002tii

Recommended Posts

I believe my cold start relay is bad. I was able to start the car when I got it with just a little starter fluid and it ran poorly with violent engine shakes. It even made it around the block but since then I haven't been able to start it, I believe I burnt out the relay. The starter will kick and the spark plugs are good but the car won't turn over at all. When I try to start it with my cold start relay, no fuel comes out of the cold start valve, but I can get fuel out of it if I hook it directly to the battery so I know it's not bad. The original part number I have for the relay is 0 335 330 001, and the after market one I found is F 026 T00 001. I have been unable to find either of these parts in stock. Please let me know if you know anywhere I can find a replacement or if you could help with troubleshooting.

Thanks

This forum is for ti’s — just one “i”. Ti’s have dual sidedraft Solex carburetors and were manufactured from September 1967 until April 1971.

You’ll get a better response to a tii post if you post in the General 2002 forum.
