My first 02 73 tii numbers matching!

Recommended Posts

hello, while i am in no way new to restoring old weird cars (ford cortinas and porsches) this will be my first 2002 and i am really excited! i got lucky and spotted a tii engine sitting in a cluttered shop and asked about it, ended up being a car left at the shop with about 10k in unpaid expenses. the shop owner contacted me a few weeks later and offered the car to me for a very fair price so i took the dive. its 100% complete minus the interior which is basically gone. the engine was totally rebuilt using stock compression forged pistons and a stock regrind cam. the kugelfischer pump was also rebuilt. the car has little to no rust except a bit in the trunk floor. anyways. im sure i will have plenty of questions in the future as i work on it and will be needing some parts pretty soon!

This forum is for ti’s — just one “i”. Ti’s have dual sidedraft Solex carburetors and were manufactured from September 1967 until April 1971.

You’ll get a better response to a tii post if you post in the General 2002 forum.

Regards,

Steve
