exhaust hangers

I discovered that one of the rubberized hangers supporting the exhaust on my 2002 is about to snap.  Are these generic supports that you can get from an auto parts store or a muffler installation shop, or are they something unique to 2002's that I should look for at one of the usual BMW-specific vendors?

Afaik they are a bmw part theres also a white plastic half moon that goes between the rubber loop and the metal piece to prevent the rubber from being cut like yours is.

BMW part that is common across many bmw's.  Cheap too.  Any bmw parts source will have them.

 

And you already have the white plastic piece referred to by Marty.

 

Trick to cut down on hanger stretch and damp exhaust movement is to wrap a big hose clamp around the hangar and lightly tighten it up.
