Brad,

There is more than one type of L shaped hinge cover that was used on E21 Recaro seats over the years.  There were also four types of backrest adjustment knobs as well as two different styles of tilt knobs and the bezel for the tilt knobs. You may want to post a picture of your seats to cut to the chase. Lol

Thanks for the advice, Sherman. Here is a pic of the seat showing missing covers. I don’t know if that will be enough to go on or not.

Dave Varco at Aardvark has them

Thanks, Esty. I checked with Dave first. He doesn’t have them for the driver’s side so still looking. Hope you are well.

Brad, I have both the inner hinge cover and the outer lower hinge cover for your driver's seat. If you need the countersunk head phillips screws to mount them I have those as well.   Email me for pictures.  The prices on Recaro trim have skyrocketed over the last 4-5 years! Word to the wise from a wise old man (LOL), if you are buying E21 Recaro seats make sure all of the trim pieces are included  and if they aren't present at purchase find out how much the replacement pieces cost (if they are even still available!) and deduct the cost from the price the seller wants for the seats!

On a second note: I have most all of the E21 Recaro trim pieces.  If you need any of the pieces (as well as the difficult to find upper and lower hinge bolts, release cables,) email me with your request and I will check on availability. I know I could post individual ads for each piece to showcase only my trim parts to hog the page and push other forum members ads over,  but I would not do something as silly and selfish as that on a public forum.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
