Another Tasty BaT offering...EH!

More BaT porn... wicked!   But I do home that "no tii's were harmed during the building of this M2".  I suppose we all can think of a few things we would have done differently, but if it was made using the Aardvarc recipe, it's got to be a tasty dish.

that garage, though?  There is a fine line between "dealer" and "hoarder".  ?

Some builds go straight for the push-the-buttons column and so many just eat it up. #1 being anything S14 immediately people start drooling.  But I say how was it all assembled? The S14 swap is not just a drop in procedure. When you look closely-as someone above mentioned the Ireland Engineering sway bar mounts but no sway bar.  At first blush I saw that the ball joints are improperly installed.  Who knows what else was done to just shine it up.

Don't always believe the hype.

and then there is this-just because the label is upside down don't mean that's how you install it.

As I’ve just done the complete suspension front and back, much of this underneath is just plane wrong.  Conkitchen’s above pics, that upside bushing has to have a decent effect I would imagine.

Missing washer here could have a big issue down the raod.

Looks like a lot of sloppy work.

I wonder why they removed the IE front sway bar but left the bracket. I do see one in the factory location though.

This one? :D

I now disagree with some of the timing advice I have given in the past.  I misinterpreted the distributor curves in the Blue Book.

I've switched from using ported-vacuum to manifold, with better results.

I apologize for spreading misinformation.

This one just doesn't light me up, as stated lots of stuff installed wrong and for the money it will bring I'd like strut caps (even with a hole drilled for the overlong center post) and a matching tach. Someone took all the tasty goodies and threw it together for a quick sale.

PS the 2 caliper lines are touching?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
