wheel size

BMW 2002 .   Am putting on 15 inch wheels.  Have found what I am looking for in a 15x7 inch wheel but the offset is +20.  I note some articles recommend 23-28 offset.  Can anyone comment on this  please?  Thank you.

It will be mixed responses here.  You'll have to roll fenders at a bare minimum.  Likely 185 or 195 tires.

If the et is 20, the rim will stick out just a little too much-

you may be able to run skinnier tires and/or trim, pound and pull.

 

If the offset is +20mm, it will stick way the heck out,

as you're looking for a hub face that's set about 25-30mm towards the

outboard side of the wheel.  As in,  there's more rim on the inner side

of the wheel than on the outer.

also says that's about 5mm too far out.  I like 30 these days,

because spacers are easy.

With ET 20 wheels, you are putting a square peg into a round hole.  I would vote on keep looking for a set of 15" wheels with the proper offset.  I had a set of 15x6 ET12 wheels on my former tii, they lasted about six months before I had a set of wheels with the proper fit (Rota RB ET25).  Just my .02 cents worth.
