Hi Rich,
Do you know if the heater blower fan is from a 12-volt car and does it work? I've got a dead 6v unit in mine at present and would like to swap out the entire assembly to 12v, though shipping might be prohibitive. I could also use a 2bbl air cleaner lid and a 400mm engine fan (P/N: 11 52 0 786 120). I'm in Chicago, 60618.
Thanks and feel free to PM,
- Paul

Hey Paul,
Heater box is sold.
I have an engine fan, P/N 121 084 00 031. Not sure if this one would work for you.

I have an air cleaner lid as well.

No problem, happen to be out in the garage.
The air cleaner lid fits mine. I have a Weber 32/36. Need to be cleaned up and repainted, but there are no dents. This is one I was going to restore and use as wall art if no one could use it.

I have no clue about the different fans, I will by the end of the day though! Time for some reading...

Thanks, Rich. Look forward to seeing the hub cap photos. I am interested in #1 gas cap. Thanks again.

Matt,

Gas cap #1 is gone, my apologies. Hers a better pic of 2 + 3.

And so I’m clear, which hub cap? Don’t want my translation error. [emoji854]

Ha, I think our messages crossed. That's a bummer. I really liked that gas cap. I would be interested in #2 (on the left in your photo). Not as desirable, but I've got the one on the right now. And I would want 4 in best shape of the hub caps on the left in this second picture.

Thanks,
Matt

Looks good. Thanks. How much are you thinking for this, packaged with 4 hubcaps? Feel free to PM if easier.

Matt

To my eye, the hubcaps all are in need some elbow grease to be up to par.
How’s $40 shipped for the five hubcaps (so you can choose) in the picture and the gas cap?

I’ll make clocks out of the rest!

That works for me, Rich. Can you message me your email for Paypal? I can send my address in that message.

Thanks,
Matt

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
