looks like a  concept car presented via cg, what happened to the old fashioned "artist's rendering"?  Maybe they will build one but gotta wonder where they'll stuff that v10

There was a thread about this a while back and never heard any news. No real pictures just fancy CAD drawings. I've seen a 2002 with a v8 and it was only good for drag racing  ruined the weight distribution and handling of the car. BMW ran 2002 turbos with 400+ horsepower back in the day. The turbo was the size of a basketball and didn't spool till 4 or 5k.

Ya.....I think for the same money I'd take (just off the top of my head)....

BMW 2002 Turbo

BMW 3.0 CSL

BMW 1M

BMW M5 (new)

Porsche 911 GT3 Touring

Ford Raptor

and

Singer Porsche 911

Call me crazy but that's just me.

Yeah, that whole list costs less!

And it is based on an original 02 steel chassis?  Why?  For that money I want custom carbon fiber tub....

Hell, for that money, Please just make some 2002 body panels out of CF and put them on the new McLaren chassis!

Pantera!  It's already just a buncha welded up square tube...

...and heck, if it was good enough for Formula 5000, who am I to argue?
