That's what the insurance company paid out.  They used to call it ACV, or Actual Cash Value, but they changed it last year some time.

So? Which one of you is going to go pick it up, put a nose on it, then slap it on BAT for 45k?

Oops. I laughed. But that’s probably exactly what will happen... 😯

If you own a car like this, you should insure it for agreed value, which may require an appraisal.  I am on agreed value, but I am not at the value of a restored car, yet.  When I get there, I will have to have some documentation for the valuation.

If that my car, I probably would have worked a cash settlement the cost of parts and repairs, using the $40K value tii's are getting.  But I am an insurance broker.

Bottle of motor oil laying in the plenum poses concern but perhaps mitigated by clean rear license plate lights.

That looks like a Red Line bottle, a sign the engine's well taken care of...

Looks eminently fixable...wonder what it will sell for.

They should have put it on BAT; they would have got double😏

It was an insurance total.  They don't do BaT.
