Price: $500

Description:

Cromadora CD32 Magnesium wheels for sale

The lightest of light wheels. Lighter than most new borns'! How light you say? So light my girlfriend didn't mind changing my

tires. 10 lbs per wheel light!

The wheels are straight and true..but could use some paint. One does has some light curb rash that could easily be sanded smooth. Alot of the edges

have begun to chip from a half a*s paint job. That's not curb rash. Whoever painted them should punished.

I ran them as is but I'm sure the new owner can bring these back to their original glory.

Other than that they are in excellent shape. Excuse the lack luster iphone pics. It does them no justice..

5 1/2 x 13, 18 offset

$500 bux....which is a good deal for the Worlds Lightest Wheels!!!!

thanks glad your happy.

don't forget you'll need zinc chromate primer if you paint them..

and be carefull media blasting. Nothing harsh to mess with the Magnesium................. or it will go BOOM~!!

And think carefully before using chemical paint strippers: some will “melt” the magnesium alloy.... 😯 I believe that Tsingtao_1903 (Trieu) found a GreenSolv chemical stripper that worked safely.

There are several useful threads on restoring magnesium alloy rims: they ain’t your Mama’s aluminum alloys! 😋

This was a good deal!

Regards,

Steve

Received the wheels today - even better than the pictures! Nice transaction, Steve, you are a gentleman and a scholar!

Thanks very much!  😀🏆🏅

Great choice, I love my CD32s.  I would be curious to know what method you end up using to restore them.

I didn't restore them but I read somewhere you had to use zinc chromate primer

I love them too. Theyr'e lighter than a newborn!

but it's back to OE for me. OE as in plain ol' slotted steelies with

trim rings. I'm curiously obsessed with  that look from way back

Definitely planning on restoring and getting them as nice as possible - I found this online and his experience seems extensive, so maybe a good roadmap:

I will look into the GreenSolv stripper - might be simpler and more practical than finding the right media blaster.

Steve Kouracos restored my Ragno's.  He did a beautiful job.

Steve K. believes that Cromodora’s and Campagnolo’s came from their factories with a slightly grayer (stated differently, less silver) paint than the silver we commonly find on other brands of alloy and steel rims. I told him to restore mine to whatever he thought was the factory color.

Steve C.
