I can’t  remember where I learned everything but the most recent example of that spec is from Silver Sport Transmissions from where I have installed a couple their T56 6 speed setups. They won’t warranty the brand new T56 unless you get the TIR .007 inch or less.
I have achieved around TIR .003 inch on those installs.

In the video they quoted a .007 runout, I think it was the same transmission.  So .007 or less would be a good place to start.     I have lots of RX8 transmissions to choose from here.   36K mile one for $600 USd,  70K mile for about $350 CDN.

Anyone on this topic interested in a custom 6-speed dash decal matching the original text?  I would like to make them but wonder how many owners would be interested in prepaying for one.

I started another thread and you can really reply to either to speak your interest:

Thanks,

Will your M10 adapter plate also work with an M30 motor?

Looking for other other CR tranny options beside Getrag and ZF.

RX8 6spd ratios are very similar. Was considering new Tremec TKX but can only find a bellhousing for M20 motor.

Thanks, Shawn

My understanding is that the M10 and M30 are the exact same so it should work the same in all respects.

Just poking around and found some info on the RX8 forums.  When measuring up the dimensions on the swap.

Measurements

Front of Trans to center of Shifter 738 mm

Front of Trans to rear seal 800 mm

Hope this helps.

Apparently G-Force has an adapter plate for the back of the s14 to bolt on a T5.  If my tranny (265) ever lets go, this is what I'm thinking.

S14 bolt pattern same as m10, no?  I think so.

And welcome.

If this is the G-Force you are talking about, they don't have it on the website.

Might need to call them- I've never seen it listed, but a very reasonable guy on s14 has one...

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
