Oil Pressure Sender - adapter

Anyone know offhand what the thread size of the oil pressure sender is? I'm trying to set up a oil pressure switch for my fuel pump and need an adapter/T fitting for my 1/8" switch and original sender.

What has everyone else used?

I emailed Gaugeman; They have one listed for an E30 as an M12 x 1.5. if no one knows I'll just have to measure it tonight, Jerry at gauageman said he'll be able to make one for whatever thread it is.

Thanks,

Mike

the BEST & easiest way do to it is to pull your sender out & look if it's a fine thread or a corse thread.

if it's a course thread, you'll have to buy an adapter & have it go off to the side (what 99% of people do...and what i should have done) or you'll end up blowing down like $80 for a corse threaded sender (what i did & would STRONGLY recommend NOT doing.)

The original oil pressure sender is M12 x 1.5. So the banjo bolt for the adapter will need to be M12 x 1.5 too.

The VDO oil pressure sender you will probably install is either 1/8 NPT or M10 x 1. You can rethread an NPT into an M10 x 1 easily.

mike email me to get together. i think there is one or two other 02'ers out there from pittsburgh on the list.

I'd post my phone number but don't want the spammers to pic that up too.
