Price: $350
Location: San Diego, CA 92131

Description:

I have a slightly used single Spanish Weber 45 DCOE 152 Carb for sale.  This is the same carb that comes with the Lynx manifold in the Top End Performance Kit, (https://www.racetep.com/manufacturer/carbs-and-injection/weber/conversion-kits/bmw-2002-320i-m10-engine-single-sidedraft-dcoe-conversion-kits.html).  I ran it for about 500 miles and it performed beautifully.  I swapped it out for a Weber 45 DCOE 152G thinking that would fix my idle transition, turns out the fix was converting to the top linkage instead of the cable linkage supplied with the kit.

The carb comes with DCOE 45 Air horns and has the following jetting.

Air Correction - 180

Main Jets - 155

Idle Jets - 60 F9

Chokes - 36mm

$350.00 + Shipping, I take Paypal.

Thanks,

Nice carb. Someone will like it

I just completed the Lynx manifold install and am enjoying it a lot.
I had issues with top linkage and went back to the TEP cable which works perfectly with a shortened cable housing.

What top linkage did you use?

It took a while, but I sourced all the parts I needed to get a smooth operation without binding.  The key was extending the lever closest to the firewall so it matched up with the normal travel of the throttle rod on the pedal box and a good return spring.

I tried that, but instead of the 12” rod, ideally you need a 15” rod to get back near the firewall so you can use the stock throttle rod.
Because I wanted to drive the car, I switched back to the supplied TEP throttle cable. I did shorten the housing a little to make things fit, but it works so smoothly that I have no reason to go back to the top mount linkage.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
