tight turns produce a "clunking" sound? long freew

i can sort of feel a vibration in the steering too. u-turns and when i stop+turn the wheel i can also get the clunking noise. . . what should i start looking for when i get some garage time, tommorow?

...would be my first guess. Then I would consider the stryt bearings. My car used to clunk when pushing hard around corners. I could also feel it in the wheel. Turned out to be ball joints on the driver's side.

Not to alarm - but this very well could be loose ball joints - they start to separate on turns, then come back together - eventually they can and will shear off the strut studs - which will put you in danger...take a close look for three bolts with safety wire between them...below the ball joint...
