I want to replace the carpet in my '75 02 with Al's domestic loop kit.

Right now, it has the original (faded and crusty) tan interior, although I

have some black vinyl recaros installed. Was hoping to get some

feedback on color shemes, and mabye some pics. I just can't decide,

will it be fawn, saddle, brown....ahhhhh. Had I found some tan recaros I

think I would have remained stock, but these black ones change

everything...or do they...

I'm getting to the point where I might need the padding for my front seats, and was thinking about possible carpet colors (specifically the $$$ salt and pepper that I really want).

I'll drop you an email later today.

I changed the interior color on my '76 Malaga from tan to black and I haven't looked back for one second. Tan is nice (especially in hot climates), but if your Recaros are black they will look best with black interior "and" grey carpet (or close in color) IMHO. I had tan carpet for awhile with my black E21 Recaros and I didn't like the contrast.

I think I am leaning towards black too, I really did want a black interior

car to begin with, but we take what we can find I suppose. I'll keep an

eye out for black panels and a back seat..although the back seat is not

too important since there is usually a blanket back there, else the dog

slides back and forth a tad too much ;-).

But for some reason, I don't think tan carpet will look good with a blue interior in a white car.
