Before the cries of USE REDLINE...I always have..but its time to change the oil anyways, and our local BMW club is offering a bit of a discount on Amsoil product. So I figured I may try it just for the heck of it.

anyone?

...It helped the stiff cold-weather shifting considerably. I'm sure Redline is great, but I had good luck with Amsoil in a GTI I had in college, and there's a local dealer (no shipping). I'm pleased with my choice so far and will probably put Amsoil in the 320 5-speed when it goes in.

Been using Amsoil since 1978. You won't regret it. 2002 turbo'd Engine, trans, diff. Redline Co whines when the stats are released on how they dont measure up in the ASTM and SAE tests. Redline works but it ain't the best, too much mystic and not enough fact.
