Alpine Split Rim Alloys

Hi O2 Group,

I’m looking for a set of Alpina split rim alloys as shown in the attached picture.  I don’t know whose car it is but I would like to know where I can source a set of the same alloy wheels. I’d like to know the size and dimensions too. They look custom designed but I can’t be sure. I’ve also attached a picture of my car that I’m currently reassembling.

The pic you posted is a photoshop and "split" Alpina spoked wheels don't actually exist. You'll either have to have a set custom made, or pick up some Weds Bavaria wheels, which look very similar and came in 2/3 piece. Hope that helps!

Thank you for the reply’s.  I’ll have a look at the Weds Bavaria versions and the Hady and beck’s.

I currently have original  Alpina 20 spoke e21 Magnesium Alloys. 15x7 rear and 15x6 front. I’ve attached a mock up to see how they would look. I may get them polished up to look similar to the photoshop versions.

Nick, I bought them off you in and you said magnesium ??! Yes I’m getting on with the reassembly  but “many hands light work” and I only have two.

I’ve got the drive line ready 10 years! S14 and 262 finally bolts together.

I see that you want to have staggered front and rear rim widths.

I have had that setup since 1984 and can tell you that the car will be prone to understeer under hard cornering, due to a wider rear track.

Not to hijack the request, but if you come across at least two Weds Bavaria rims in 15 x 61/2" that you don't want, let me know.....

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
