lean at 4k under light load

Howdy,

I didn't do a search  :) AFR go 2 points lean at about 4000-4200rpm under light load only.

Carb is jetting fairly stock-ly and performing well at other loads and RPMs.

Timing is 123.

Cam is a very mild Schrick  and compression is 9-ish to one. Stock exhaust other than tii manifold and loose baffles in center muffler (to be remedied tomorrow).

Usually  to compensate, I  just go faster. :P

TIA,

How lean?  Sounds like a good place to be lean for fuel economy...

Just pull the parking brake up a few clicks. That should keep you from experiencing this "part throttle" you speak of.

Those are the big ones that go to the round sticky-upy thingy? But which one to unplug?

Yeah I  know :P

It will stumble there, getting back on the throttle.

16 aint that scary at light throttle light load. Sounds like a Weber 38. Play with the emulsion tubes.

Yeah, true. It does stumble a bit there though.

I tried F6 emulsion tubes and saw no discernible difference. Is there a guide to emulsion tube swapping?

Cheers,
