plastic euro turn signals - eBay - Argentina

I bought a set of these when they were $67.  The entire thing is very thin plastic including the bracket with the bulb holders.  The plastic was fragile and didn't look like it would last long on a car that is driven.  But, like the listing says, they "will look just terrific" for a while and if you don't break the housing when you attach them with the screws.

If you must fasten plastic parts with metal screws, the correct way to do this is to use a metal bushing between the screw and the plastic hole.  The idea is for the metal bushing to bear the compressive stress from the screw and to prevent the screw threads from cutting into the side wall of the hole due to vibration and temperature fluctuations.  Any cuts and/or scratches from the screw threads will allow for road grimes/chemicals to attack the plastic.  The cracks will propagate overtime and will cause the lens to fail.

Apologies guys, for some reason it didn't come up in search.

(I did however find it by using a site specific Google search, so I'll do that next time.)
