WP,  I still have this excellent condition Behr A/C.  Who is going to have a pressure tested evap?

Yes, it's priced on the upper side, start high and negotiate from there! Good luck in your hunt.

I also have another evap. with good motor and side panels but, not "show condition" like what you're looking for.

+1

I agree. I’ve looked at dozens of old ‘02 A/C’s for sale — and bought a few — but I’ve never come across one that had been pressure tested before I purchased it...

WP,

I'm here to try to accommodate your search with what I consider to be a quality product.  I didn't even dig this thing out, until I saw you were looking for a nice " show car quality" console. It may sit for another 15 years?  Let me know what I can do to help you.     $1000 is not that far fetched considering the price of individual parts for these consoles.   Make an offer that you feel comfortable with............all I can do is counter.

You can buy complete Clardy style system fro Ice Air for about $1900 last time I checked. I think it includes all components.  May be worth considering.

I understand, the ice-Air kit looks

exactly like the original calardy units from back in the 70’s

the kit also includes everlasting little thing to complete and install

this is a tough decision

thanks
