1. It rains all the time

2. There are not nearly as many things to do here as there are in the "real" major cities.

1) Nice weather

2) Nice people (and 02 community)

3) Portland's a beautiful city.

Delia, I grew up in the midwest (Indiana) and

spent my first decade post college in the South.

I'd never ever, think about going back.

Drop me a line if you need any specifics or

have questions....

one of his reasons: 3k square foot house on 1/4 acre for ~$400k. i

guess it depends on where you are coming from, but for us bay area

and/or la types, thats a pretty good deal.

Leave Vancouver, hit Pacificfest on the way down, and then cruise down to SLO for Fest West. I may need a co-pilot if anyone is interested. Delia? I also have vintage(although rebuilt) Scheel seats.

Moderate weather, not a lot of snow and ice in the winters and not a lot of day over 100 deg in the summer with very little humidity.

Great mountians and beaches not very far away.

We don't use salt on our raods at least not yet.

It does rain a lot but not nearly as much as we tell the rest of the country.

Where in the NW are you considering.

At least that's what we tell Californians!

I do think it's really is the best place in the USA to live.... you have the coast, mountains, rain forests all are just beautiful and all less than a couple hour drive from each other..... Portland & Seattle are great cities. Friendly people, great food and the best beer in the country!

What else could you want? I've been living here for 15 years now... moved from the Midwest. I'll never go back.

Besides... cars don't rust anywhere here near what they do in the midwest, east or south. You can find rust free 02's, MG's, Healeys and yes even Alfas if you look hard!
