Water pump bolt search

Hi. I have recently removed the Behr air conditioning compressor bracket from my 1974 and wish to change the water pump while my radiator is out and while changing hoses. The two bottom bolts are too long and I am trying to locate the ones I need which are shorter and designed for non AC cars. One of them, #10 on the diagram is available but I cannot source #11 having just been told by the third parts supplier that they are not available. They likewise were unable to tell me the bolts size (so I could buy it at the hardware store). Does anyone know what size it is? Would anyone have one for sale? Many thanks,

Try Maximillian Importing - they have the same diagrams after you type in your VIN and I bought most of my (overpriced :)) bolts here when I could not source things elsewhere. I have a picture somewhere of the bolts when I pulled mine. I will try to locate

This popped up in my feed- timely as I’m doing the same thing on my tii (Behr/York) removal. The Behr bracket is 16mm thick where it is secured to the bottom two long water pump bolts.  Why doesn’t the USA 2002tii diagram show M8x90 bolts?  The long bolts run thru the water pump housing, thru the lower timing cover and into the block. Shorter bolts won’t work.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
