1600ti and 2002ti Solex 40PHH carburetor I.D. tags

In my quest to find the correct air inlet horns for my 69 "ti" project, I stumbled across this Technical Service Bulletin from BMW that provides the proper Solex I.D. numbers (only on a tag).  There are others mentioned, so I thought I would share this here.

I have several sets of old Solex carburetors.  Only (2) of them have an I.D. tag.   According to this bulletin, I have (1) 2002ti rear carburetor and (1) 1600ti rear carburetor (whether or not they are still in their factory configuration is suspect).  Pictures of the tags to follow shortly.

JIm;

Here are close up images of a pair of original Solex carburetor id tags on an untouched 2002ti.

Thanks for posting! Can you pull back and take another one of the rubber bellows from the air cleaner? I have seen them installed both ways (long versus short ends).
