Removing the head from the block?  I’ve never done it but wanted to attempt it if not to difficult.

If I were you I'd ask myself long and hard why you're doing that. It's a can of worms that doesn't always need opening.

I have an engine on a lift. It’s already for the most part stripped. I need the head for  another engine I’m having built.  The head has the correct date code. I plan to take it to a cylinder head specialist to clean and freshen up.

... ahhh... but not very useful when doing a title line search.... better to keep titles short with a few keywords totally relevant to the topic... back at ya - ?
