Description:

Set of Webers that came off my car for sale with manifolds and accessories.  These have been on my car off and on as I wanted more power for various driving schools.  They were removed 4 months ago.  I had lots of trouble tuning them for a stable idle - might be me or it could be the carbs need some work/rebuild.  They ran great with good power, but not for city driving for me. I've gone back to a 38/38 downdraft.    Included is the water bypass tube and one of the hoses needed as well as the linkage. The upper water neck housing with the temp sender has been cleaned and painted.  There is another one housing included in fair condition.   I also have a small box of weber parts that will be includes, some seals, nuts, clips, etc.  There are some fairly coarse steel mesh filters that work great in our cars confined space.    Please keep in mind these carburetors are tired and may need some work to run optimally.      Price does not include shipping.

In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books.
