Les, is the detective. He should have already got the VIN off this car three times by now and if he didn't, he already has the guys VIN!

Les, say something man.

What??

I had 2760152 (Inka) in my database as being in MD back in 2007. I pm'd Gary (the Seller) just to male sure it was the same car. It was and he's owned the car since then, if not longer.

"BadTxn" joined Dec 5th, same date that the ad was posted. Same guy. Why is scum like this allowed to remain here? Need a better screening process mods, just sayin'.

That's what I was hinting to back on page 5. This guy seriously needs to go. I think there are even more screen names than just "BadTxn". There are a few 1 time posts from other users as well early in the thread.

I contacted the owners/moderators of this site about a fraud going by the user name Jblue. I got the usual non-commital "due to privacy policy yaddah yaddah…".  Someone in charge better clean this  s%#t up before it becomes a cess pool, or there may be mass defections.  Huge difference between the Porsche sites and this 02 site.  Starting to feel uncomfortable.

i agree FAQ has become a dark corner for scammers...it has often been suggested to SteveK that new members cannot use the for sale forums until they have X number of other posts in other forums which would absolutely help us by seeing they are participating members....not just here to sell their non existent or bogus goods

i hope it never happens but if Steve got scammed maybe he would rethink things on our behalf

I dunno Mike, I've been here only 14+ years or so. I think I can count the number of scammers I recall on one hand.

If one exercises a modicum of caution, just like in real life, things tend to be pretty much okay.

Cheers,

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
