Car for sale-1972 inka orange 2002tii

I responded to this listing within minutes. It took a couple of days for the seller to get back to me. Basically he was hoping that someone would buy this car without having to take any more pictures or provide any more information. (very large red flag waving in the wind with special lighting at night and shit)

We should all be very cautious of this listing. The seller has no track record on this forum. He has a total of 3 posts, the cost of the car is too good to be true. I asked if I could get an inspection of the vehicle done and no response.

Maybe it's a real deal but I wound not send this guy any $ prior to seeing the car & ownership documents. Why the hell post it here for 6k if he could run it thru BAT and get considerably more money? The seller trying to find the "perfect" new owner to restore the car is suspicious at best. Are we selling a car or playing the dating game?

Lets hope this  car is landed by someone who will provide the love it richly deserves otherwise I think a "certain dealer" from around here might try to jump the queue looking  for another "investment" opportunity.

Hope it works out and avoid another BaT fiasco

I am 'that' guy (providing the love).  Otherwise, my first 2002 will continue to be a long road ahead....

I got a response but it was limited. The seller had receieved offers higher than the asking price and wanted to pursue those local buyers over the weekend first.

I didn’t get the extra photos or the contact info I had requested

As I stated above, I also got a response. Sounded like it was going to get messy so I didn't pursue it any further either. Best of luck to whomever acquires the car.

Extra pictures are on the way.  Not a scam that’s my promise and honor. Look me up on eBay. Strong record of honest transaction

How about letting us all know what the status is?  Is it sold yet?  Many people have inquired about it (including myself) and are waiting to hear back from you – considering you posted this early last week.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
