Seriously cool stuff, and that motor sounds delightfully out of reach of my current motorsports budget.

Yeah, but every time I've driven it I was stuck behind some tourist in his mini-van creeping along at a neck-wrenching 15 mph...

Italy. the road reminds me of the flat I rented in Cernobbio, on Lake Como last year. I swear locals drove that fast!

The little bit of digging I did makes it appear to be a very tuned M10 with1000km service intervals.

 

What kind of transmission is that?
