Hella LED Third Brake Light (High Center Mount)

I have a bunch of extra Hella LED brake lights, only asking $15 with shipping included. I have no use for these extras, I just don't want them to go to waste.
These have a clear lens with red LEDs, they are very bright. The bad part is there is no housing so you will have to be a little creative with mounting.

For my car, I designed a center high mount housing that I had 3D printed and stuck it to the rear glass. I'm happy to share to the 3D file if you have access to a 3D printer. There are online services that will print things for you, but it was prohibitively expensive for this project because it was so large.

Here is how I mounted the light. This is just an example, not included in the sale.

@benh is the Hella part # for the lights 959071001?

I missed out on the original listing, but wanted to source the light myself and try to get in on the 3d printing.

Thanks!

For anyone looking for a larger option, you can use one of these. You need to make brackets for the ends though. Other than that works great! Just tossing third brake light options out there :) Really glad folks are interested in safety!

Just a quick update on the status of the brake light surround.

I have commissioned the vendor to produce the necessary design files for two different sizes of this light.  I had to do this as there are at least two versions of this model number out there.  The only difference is the size of the rim:  one is 255x26mm and the other is 265x33mm.  I am having one each of these produced and sent to me for test fitting and approval.  After that the vendor said it would take about a week to print them.

So far I have the following folks down as interested in at least one of the surrounds:

DavidLayton

grizzlebar

bluehills2002

jedm3

AceAndrew

Artcop

MattL

Schnellvintage

Teelinger

mvliotta

Chris Wrona

If you want to be included, please PM me with your name/address.

I am also going to be selling these as complete, ready to install kits if anyone is interested.  Cost should be around $100 plus shipping.  Please PM me if you are interested in this.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
