So I'm still confused. The seller is 73tiii? or 73tii? They are two different members. It seems clear that it is 73tiii as he is the one that commented but @Rich just referred to 73tii?

the OP needs to edit the subject line of this thread to reflect 73tiii, NOT 73tii like it is now

That would be me he’s referring to. He’s gotten his money back, and all he’s been doing is harassing me.

You planning on sending me back my $700??????

I just got a reply from Venmo stating that they don't intend to refund my money and suggested contacting local law enforcement. Hopefully @73tiii will do the right thing.

I am not familiar with "Venmo" but seems like anyone using their services does not have much protection. Hope you guys manage to expose this low life.

In the hope I am not hijacking this thread and adding more distress to your plight,  I found this tid bit about Venmo for those like me  who have not used it: Certainly something to be wary of in the future.

Can't fraudulent buyers do the same thing with PayPal? What protection does PayPal offer for sellers?

We use Venmo all the time. It was really designed to send $ quickly and easily to friends and family members. I use it to send my kids $ for all kinds of stuff all the time. It's basically an instant service and you can pull the $ out and put it into your account within minutes. However, in this situation it's really a bad idea because there is little to no protection. If there was a member that I have done business with before or I trusted completely Venmo wouldn't be a problem for me.

I truly hope something will come out of this. I have never had a problem on this forum with anyone. It sucks we have to be so careful with jack ass's on the forum. Hopefully admin can get rid of this guy.

I have always assumed  anyone with a PayPal account had to hold a active credit card in conjunction with a legitimate bank account to enter into any transaction.  I have never experienced any issues with buyers. Only sellers who have misrepresented themselves or the product and very few at that. Certainly none from this site so I consider myself fortunate.
