There's a 107,000 mile example of a 73 tii in my neck of the woods that (although the clear coat on the paint is bad) is also a remarkably original survivor. Never hit, never even been in the same building as a paint gun. I spent 3 hours crawling around it, and couldn't find any rust, except for a dime sized blister on a rocker panel.  Been off the road since 1986. Mind. Blown. 

 

These cars still exist!

But doesn't that kind of break your heart?  It does mine.  That poor car has been stuck in a cage for over 30 years.  I mean, it's great so we can see what our cars are supposed to, well, how they came from the factory...

 

Yeah, no pretty cars for me.  I like to drive them too much, too often.  I dated a woman once that had no scars- like had never played hard enough to crash, even a little.  It was weird.

great reference. was the trunk, engine bay and door jams not shot with clear coat? trying to figure out the difference

Amazing time capsule!  Wonder why the antenna cable was routed thru the fender opening instead of using the A pillar?
