Hello, I have a 74 02 with an m20 swap. Currently had 10k miles on the engine. The car has been driving great. Until today, I took it for a drive to visit my parents house. Parked the car for about 2hrs and when it was time to leave I could not get it to start.

I checked the pump, I can here the buzzing when the ignition is on. I am wondering if maybe the crank position sensor? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Go back to basics: an engine only needs 3 things to run:

1.) Compression - quick check is to push it around in gear, next step is a compression test.

2.) Fuel - sounds like you already checked the pump, might be worth checking next that you actually have fuel pressure at the rail and injectors are clicking.

3.) Spark - probably the most likely culprit, make sure you have 12V at the coil, maybe pull a wire while cranking and look for the visual spark jump from the wire to the block.

Start there and report back when you think you've narrowed down which of those 3 are the culprit and then we'll work on more specifics.

Put a timing light on the wire,

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

If the tach shows any rpm while crankng, the crank position sensor is ok.  That is a VR type and are no parts in it to fail, just the wire from the connector to the sensor sometimes get broken from handling.
