every 2002 i have seen over that past 25 years of my 2002 ownership where having blue hose from the MC to the reservoir. maybe because there where all restored with blue hoses. or maybe the black ones where just extremely dirty and old and they where blue at first ??

Belmetric.com has the blue hose.   Continental is the manufacturer.

IIRC the original fabric brake hose lines on my '69 were black from the factory; when they deteriorated the replacement stuff was blue.  I suspect the color change was made to differentiate brake hose from fuel hose, but that's just a guess.

I think the original hoses on my '73 were black too.

I bought some new hose specifically for this application from Walloth and Nesch and it came as black ‘rubber’ hose with no fabric cover (I actually think it is EPDM).
