Haven't been on this forum for long and the search didn't provide any immediate help. Looking for suggestions on the right place to send this unit. As always any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike

I think there's only like two guys; west coast and east coast. But I have to ask why you're rebuilding it? Just because?

I think Gus at Pacific is still going in South San Francisco.

Wes Ingram up in Washington is still very active.

I just sent and recieved mine back from Jerry Fairchild Industries up near Redding. His son took on the company and eventually moved up North. Didn't do a full on overhaul, but a clean/reseal/test on the pump and injectors. Fair price and honest turnaround time.

Disregard...I found the old thread. Didn't know that Gus Pfister serviced the KF as well as the Bosch on the 911.  The Porsche mfi pump is s-o-o-o-o sweet. Significantly more responsive that the carbureted engine.  I am hopeful that the Tii will be just as responsive, we'll see.

I think the car has been neglected, the engine is out , blah,blah.  Maybe being too anal....gotta stop that

What day, where?

We'll be on the Column Rally with an overnight in Astoria. 20 cars, we will have enough for our own cars n coffee.

I talked to Gus last weekend at Laguna Seca (we use him a lot for 300sl and other Bosch pumps) He is still going strong but he has a HUGE backlog of work.  Don't expect it back from him anytime soon.

Precision Automotive Research,  but also a long wait time.

 

Above all REQUIRE a test sheet giving the fuel output curves before and after.

 

There are so many that i have helped tune their Tiis to find that the rebuild was "substandard".

Yeah, Dave did my pump. And distributor and injectors.

Dave did my WUR in 2016, he spent a lot time on the phone during the tune process.
