just notice a couple of weeks ago that my AVS Intermediates are pretty

much dusted. the drive tire is almost bald and the other side is pretty

close. didn't realize I was peelin out that much. at any rate i've started

looking and i'm kind of eyeing the Yoko ES100s. i know that nick pon

took these on the track and he really like them. how about as an all

around tire?

i've got to order them soon cause if I don't they won't get here in time

for the Swap and Show in two weekends.

suggestions for the best bang for the buck?

thanks,

evan

195/60 r13 in front, 205/60 13's in rear.... so far.. very nice - the ride improved tremendusly over the michlin xwx's that were on her.. (they were also over 20 years old though!) I'm looking forward to breaking them in and testing their limits... plus they were the only somewhat sticky tires avail (next to the victoracers which are super sticky, but wear and are useless when wet!)

CHeers,

Sean

I've got 195 60 14s and they are really great in rain or dry. BTW, I paid $67/each through Tire Rack (use the link no matter which tire you choose--benefits the FAQ) and I think they are well worth it. Finally, they look cool, too! Good luck.

I've been running my AVS Intermediates at 32psi

and have excessive wear in the middle. Must be

too high for that tire. Thanks. I'm going to look at

them. A good value is a good value and if you are

happy with them on your 02 they are definitely

worth considering. I appreciate the thought.

I''ve been told that they loose their effective grip in

the wet, but it's good to hear otherwise. I think that

I'll probably end up getting the Yoko's. if they

perform well on the track and the street, it's the tire

for me. thanks for your help.
