Would it be easier to replace the entire regulator? And possibly easier to find?

I wasn’t sure. If they’re not too spendy then that’s probably the way to go. Thought I’d give it a shot though

Hi Scott, I did just get a new spring from a faq member. Just need some install time. The used regulator was my next plan...

Thanks,

Baron

Tagging on to this topic as our window regulator spring just popped off too.

Do you have to remove the whole regulator to repair with the Mercedes bolt?

Is the spring necessary as the window is still going up and down....harder going up super easy going down.

Thanks

You do need to remove the regulator to get at the spring. It’s not that difficult to get at though. My spring broke so I only had to replace that. All other hardware bits were intact. It’s weird, after installing the spring, it’s doesn’t feel much better or easier, but I think it really only engages when the window is close to being all the way down. I did grease a few things up which helped...
