It may be worth disclosing to the buyers that japanese three piece wheels are welded together, and you can’t (easily) split them to modify the size. With that said it isn’t easy to find premade 20 hole japanese lips anyway.

It’s probably also helpful for folks to know that the HR in HRE is for Hayashi Racing. :)

Lovely wheels at a fair price IMO...

Japanese (?) circa 1985

I believe that the barrels are welded. I think I have 15" x 6.5" in the front and 15" x 7" in the rear; but the stagger creates imbalance in the car, so I am looking for a source of 6.5" barrels.

it has been over a decade since I had the tires off or measured them.

Weds barrels are welded. See pic I just snapped below.

I can’t beleive these haven’t sold yet when Alpinas are going for $2K+. I sold my other set of weds in two days earlier this week.

Super cool wheels.. The story I got was that when Hayashi was sold, that is when the HRE name became official, and remains HRE today.

Your centers look very similar to the early HRE 501s I have on my red car.  20 hole, just the same. Mine, with titanium fasteners.. that is how they came to me.  And judging by the promo photo here, they are the original fasteners. These came to me completely misconfigured.  Someone took a staggered set of wheels and tried to make them square.. it was weird. When I split them and did what made sense. and as it turns out, they were perfect for my weld in flares.. with no spacers.  I was super lucky.
