just for the rust proofing aspect alone. Plus it looks nicer.

take note, however, that some of the high temp paints require you to "bake" the part within a certain time period or else the paint won't adhere and the color can bleed off.

Read the can for whatever product you choose to use.

advantage to painting. All exhausts unless their SS tend to rust from the inside out. You can't paint the inside of your resonator. Sure they may get some surface rust on the outside but the holes are generated from the mositure that pools within them. -J
