Engine stalling after warm. Have Weber 32/36 and runs

fine for the first hour or so of driving. Then when slowing down to stop, engine just dies (and won't restart immediately--takes some cranking + throttle). The idle, after stumbling for the first few minutes when cold, settles in nicely (except as described after an hour or so). I'm running a Behr 320i aluminum rad (71 degree stat)and temps do not go above the lower third of the temp gauge. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks.
