it took me a while to achieve it....

1st my Hunter machine was out of calibration. i had to suck many guys in usa to reach for a copy of the floppy disk to calibrate the machine, hunter themselves refuses to sell theses old floppy no matter what...

next i had to build a jig to achieve the calibration which seemed to be working righ at that moment....

and then ii did try it for the first time tonight with its new calibration to found out why my 02 had a very bad tamper to always pull right, the return to center function was never right, like at 1oclock all the time

i messed up a lot with the caster but it was not there before

the rear end was tilted like 0.8 degrees so i added up a shim right behind the left rear subframe mount. it took like 1/4 of an inch steel plate to make it almost perfect.

brought back the trust line almost 0 and set back too

zeroed the front with a bit of toe in and voilà

9 years from now that it took me loool.....

i am very happy the car now drives like it should..

i had to suck many guys...

I'm glad you got the alignment done but for that price I probably would have just taken it to a tire shop...

there are no local tire shop that would have gone this far to make it go like that. believe me. i went at two different places before i went this route.

they refuses to spend time out of the normal procedure, ie, turning up the tie rods and thats it. if its more than that they declare the car not alignable.

there is no price to make it by yourself, learn and own thoses kind of machines.

it didnt costed me this much in money, maybe 300$ max total.

now i can align my E60, my XR4Ti and my pickup like I want.

That's pretty cool, Pat!  I'd love to have one of those machines.  I've done strings alignment, which isn't that hard, and now use a digital laser level.  Alignment is one of those things folks are afraid to do, but is pretty easy if you're methodical.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
