Rear glass removal advice needed

Greetings all,

 

Painting my 68 1600-2. Have all glass and trim removed except the rear qtr glass. Need advice. 

 

searched the forum and found instructions to drill out the 4 rivets.

 

once thats done done then what? 

 

Wiggle? 

 

Pull aft?

 

pry?

 

pray?

 

cut the petrified seal holding it in?

Got it out.  Not sure drilling the rivets was necessary. Just saw the 4 screws. Palm meet face. Sigh.

This is where you really need a helper to R&R those windows. The tiny screws can fall into the back seat recess so have a magnet handy.

And if you position the glass too low, it will scrape the nice horizontal (expensive) trim.
