Great to hear you figured out the issue. What caused the reverse to not work?

Somehow the bolt that holds the pivot for Reverse/5th somehow backed out and got worned out. We had to make a custom bolt to make it work!

Is that 14x6 or did you go wider? Are they et15? What's the best solution? Would rolling the fenders do it?

Rub they might, but they look fantastic.

Easiest solution to swap the spring pads for a 2/3 dot. I’m going to try the wheels on my other nk and see how those fit(6” et15)

These wheels are 6” and seem to have a more aggressive offset(I bought them as is)

last resort would be to roll the fenders

Great picture. I love the smile on the NKs when the bumper is off. Great to hear the car is driving.

This week finished removing the sound deadening from the floor, put the seats back in and then out for a drive.

Drove the 1800 to the monthly NK & Kaffee gathering!! Still needs minor adjustments but getting there!

3:64 with the 5 speed seems to be a great cruiser but..........  it’s begging to have the 4:11back In!

And it'll cruise just fine with a 4.11 too - I've never thought it could do with a longer ratio

Nick, is there 3:91 side loader diffs? All I see is low gearing sideloaders or 4:11s.

yeah, the tilux came with a 3.91 sideloader, as did the 4 cylinder 520i e12

...and if BMW had fitted an OD 5th they'd have mated them to a 4.11 🙂

Car was last on the road in 89’, took its 1st spin   30 years after.
