Italian Turn Signals - Reproductions

Price: $500
Location: Huntington Beach, Ca

Description:

Hi guys,

it's that time again.

I have five sets of fresh turn signals for sale. Four are US plug and play, and one set still has European internals. The European internal set will need to be modified if you want to run it on a US-spec car.

I have photographed two sets, both indicators of quality and consistency for the other three that aren't photographed.

At this time, two sets are pending, three are still available.

My manufacturing partner is undergoing gnarly spinal surgery and says this might just be his last batch, pending recovery (it's a very invasive surgery).

Please note that there is a $75 core charge. We need your US cores back, otherwise we have nothing to work with in terms of frames and internals. The nicer the frames, the better! The end products end up being nicer as well.

At this time, there is a $15 shipping charge, as well as paypal fees, should you choose to pay for Goods and Services.

Please see photos for reference of condition and quality of the lenses. They really are top notch and flawless (the lenses). The frames we cleaned up as best as we could without going after full rechrome. We can rechrome, but price increases considerably.

Cheers,

I am just saying,,,,,,,

I ordered a set of these a coupla years ago.  Be aware that they are plastic throughout except for the bulb holder--

"even the grey housing inside is plastic made, please look carefully the pictures, what you see is what you will get."

Also, be sure to use plastic screws to attach them to the fender.  Otherwise they will break.  Oh yeah, you will also have to provide a ground wire from the bulb connector to the fender as plastic turns out to be a poor conductor.

Otherwise, "Will look terrific once installed."

I sold that set to a person who intended to use them just for show.  The plastic was very soft and thin.  I can't imagine it would hold up under pelleting by road debris.  But, hey, "Will look terrific once installed."

I've worked on a feasible solution in collaboration with another member here who's currently working on these. I was able to successfully separate the lens from aluminium housing. The key is to replicate the lens in a way that you would use your current housing and just screw the new lens to get that nice factory look. On the OEM, the lens is actually injected into the aluminium housing and impossible to remove. I had to cut the aluminium in very small pieces to get the lens out. To be fair, the one on this page offered by Ryan is made to OEM standard and the lens is also injected which is a costly process and I personally believe that $250 per turn signal is a fair price.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
