hey alllllllllll !!!

I'm starting to get more and more invested (emotionally and financially ;) ) in my 2002. Thought it would be a good time to name her. What are some names you wish you named your 2002 but either decided otherwise or thought of it after you named it? Or what are some cool names in general?

I'll probably end up naming her Charlie or Valerie or something like that. Just curious on what you guys named your cars haha.

A picture of your car might help inspire a few name ideas.

Since your car is Agave, maybe you could use the name of your favorite tequila.

I used to like Hornitos... Cabo Wabo was good too.

(El Tesoro has been taken ; )

here is a Wiki list;

It could also be Kermit...

Mine are named for Germanic composers, 'cause they make beautiful music on the road.  While my favorite composer is Franz Liszt, I don't dare name a car Franz as that was my sister-in-law's exe's name, and they didn't part on good terms...

A name for your car will suggest itself as you become more familiar with the car...

some people have strong feelings about the gender of their car.

would yours be a he, or a she?

that will help narrow it down.

IF it is a female car... so to speak, then you might consider Maria.

As in Agave Maria... referencing Ave Maria, by the Austrian composer Schubert.

I suspect a lot of '02's have German names because....they were made in Germany....

I'm not a car namer, however, unless referring to my '76 as "my '76" and to my '73 as "my '73" counts as naming...😚

I've owned my '76 for 42 years and still haven't seen a need for a name, although my wife sometimes refers to it as "your old car" in a tone vaguely similar to her intonation of "your first wife"; both are accompanied by a raise of her eyebrows...😯

Regards,

Steve

all the cars in our family are named by their color

started with kids wanting to know which car they were going to head to preschool in

gray car

blue car

Nevada

took them a bit to catch on to Nevada ... but they are in now

i vote for simply calling your car Agave

When my 02 was delivered it was black. My wife thought it looked like a top hat, which reminded her of Fred Astaire. She started calling it Fred.

If my wife decides to name a car of mine, who am I to object? That means she's accepted it and it will be harder to get me to sell!

I was told a long time ago that all cars are feminine except for Bentleys which are always male. Don’t follow that myself but I definitely like to get to know a car first before naming

I invariably call German cars kooky German names. Mine is Helmut but I have also had a Gretel (MB ‘69 W108), Wolfgang (MB ‘84 W123) and Helga (VW ‘16 Golf Wagon).
