any spacer needed? correct offset?

it is my understanding that the ET35 is the correct and spec offset for the original corrados

and from what i read ... the corrado steelies are bolt-on without the need for additional spacers ...

they are not crazy ... just 15X6  ... with 195/50R15s

and then my 13" rims will get 175/70R13 winter tires... and the speedometer will be consistently off all the time!

i will know more once the rubber shows up ...

and the 3" of fresh March snow melts away!

I know the feeling! I use a speedo app on my iphone sometimes just to make sure i'm not way over the limit on certain roads with cameras around here. It's creatively named "Speedometer". It may help you to figure out how far off you are once and then just do the math in your head while driving. (for me it's subtract 5mph from whatever it says on my dash).

the wheels look great!

i used 'speed box' ... who knows why ...

IIRC ... it was about 3% above the speedo readout ...

i did not go over 40 ... since the tires on Nevada now have serious dry-rot ...

but these new wheels (and the new snow tires) will be taller ... so it may all just work out perfectly

cheers!

Will those fit a 74Tii? Those are some sweet looking rims at an affordable price.

Nice! Glad you got them.

Re: center caps. An option is early 80s Honda Civic 6" center caps, on the right. The ones on the left are 7 3/4" centers from a Prelude and are to big and don't fit. I replaced the logos with ones I got from my local BMW dealer.

E30 steelie hub cab should work, 36131127230, I use them on my E30.  The cap is made from stainless steel and held on by the lug bolts, I assume the lug nuts would also capture it.

At $116/wheel that’s alloy wheel money in my book. Yes, they look nice but come on.

To each his own I guess.  $464 for four ain’t bad for a set of wheels.

It’s been a while since I was active in the VW world, but they used to be available for $75ea or less.

Still kicking myself for selling all of my BBS RMs... I never thought they would reach RS prices. I would still love to have a set for one of 02s.

maybe I’m getting too old...
