no you won't, but the NK market isn't the 02 or Coupe market. Better than the New Six market, though.

No it's not - only the TiSa has historically fetched big money so it will be interesting to see whether this one sells at anything like that price.

This car is stunning, I hope somebody gets it maintains it and drives it like mad. It has a BMW 1800 TISA steering wheel

And the rare widened factory steel wheels on it. Absolutely beautiful modifications for the era. There is no question in my mind that some BMW loving car nut Will buy and enjoy this-the Lucky second owner may well get full ticket for this-look at the undersides it is pristine. Thanks for posting it, it is the warm sunny southern French weather that preserved this car. ooh Lah lah, what a find. This is the nicest original 1800 TI I have ever seen. This car belongs in the BMW museum.

Of course I am biased ,

Sincerely, Peter

This 2002 just sold for $192K, so I guess $75K for this 1800 is more than fair ;)

I’m guessing that’s a record, but one never knows for certain!  ?

My point, Joe, is that more than a few record prices occur in private transactions, and not in an auction environment.  For instance, I strongly suspect the record price for a tii was a private sale....

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books.
